Grammar notes (4)
-길 원하다 = want (someone) to ~
나의 발로 서길 원해
-길 nominalizes the whole act: standing becomes the object of one single desire.
Pattern: [stem] + 기를 원하다
Example: 만나길 바라다 (wish to meet)
-ㄹ 리가 없다 = no way that ~
Look at me 포기할 리가 없지
The -지 ending seeks confirmation of an already-settled answer: no chance at all.
Pattern: [stem] + ㄹ 리 없다
Example: 잊을 리가 없다 (can't possibly forget)
오히려 = rather / on the contrary
오히려 thanks, 지적질
오히려 flips the frame: the criticism meant to cut is rebranded as fuel.
Pattern: ohiryŏ + [clause]
Example: 오히려 좋다 (it's actually better)
-가 되다 = become ~
너와 나는 우리가 된거야
The grammar itself performs the fusion: two separate nouns collapse into one collective.
Pattern: [noun] + 가 되다
Example: 얼음이 되다 (become ice)
